I’ve been keeping myself happy with lots of music related stuff since my last post – was very lucky to catch Bad Company at Aperture Cardiff in October – it’s been around 15 years since I first saw them, and Crucifixion is still one of my favourite tunes – great to have them back. Set was exactly what I was hoping for, and I’m looking forward to hearing their new releases.
Also saw one of my favourite films (Dawn of the Dead) live scored by Claudio Simonetti’s Goblin – I’m a big fan of their soundtrack work, and couldn’t believe how well synced their arrangement was live – you could feel the audience jump out of they seats as zombie head shots were punctuated by blasting drums, and those synths were a joy to listen to.
As usual, I’ve been working on music pretty much constantly (well, in and around the office job) and the DJ support I’ve been getting has been a great inspiration – big up to Yankowsky from Monochrome Recordings for playing my Danger Chamber release on his Bassdrive guest slot, to the Future Thinkin crew for playing a brand new tune on their Kool FM show, and to Double O for his support of new track Tick on Jungletrain.
I’m also extremely happy to say I’ve just had my 9th release signed. Details to follow, but I’m very proud to be on board.
Finally, I recorded a mix last month featuring some great vinyl and digital releases from the likes of Subtle Audio, Foundation X and Samurai – check it out here:
